Process

How it works

Questions customers rarely get to ask before the finished pieces arrive. We answer them upfront, so you know what to expect.

Which logo formats we accept

We prefer vector files – AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. A vector logo can be scaled up or down without losing quality, and digitising is faster.

PNG, JPG or TIFF work just as well, ideally at least 1000 px wide.

And if you have neither? Send whatever you have – a photo of a business card, an old patch, the image from an e-mail signature or a screenshot. We will redraw the logo as a vector and embroider it. Redrawing is a paid service and you always approve the price in advance.

What logo digitising is and who owns the resulting file

An embroidery machine cannot read an image. It needs a program that tells it exactly where the needle goes, which direction each stitch runs, in what order the colours change and where the thread is cut. Preparing this program is called logo digitising – translating the logo into stitches.

We do it in our own workshop. It is manual work and is charged separately, once, with the first order. When you reorder the same logo, you do not pay for digitising again.

Who owns the embroidery file

The resulting file (for example DST or EMB) is our working material and stays with us. We keep it so that you can reorder identical pieces at any time.

The copyright to the logo itself is and remains yours. Digitising does not change that.

How we prepare logos with fine details and small lettering

We can embroider any logo. The only difference is how much preparation it needs.

Embroidery draws with thread, not with printed dots – a stitch has its own width and fabric stretches. With small lettering and thin lines we therefore adjust the logo before embroidering: we slightly thicken the lines, adjust the spacing between letters and fine-tune the proportions so that the result stays sharp and legible even after dozens of washes.

If a detail does not fit into the chosen size, we have two proven options:

  • embroider the logo slightly larger, or
  • make a patch, which gives more space and freedom.

We always show you the design first. We do not start production without your approval.

Why thread colours differ from the colours on your screen

A screen emits light, thread reflects it. That is the whole difference, and it cannot be eliminated.

We also work with a fixed range of thread colours – we do not mix colours like a printer, we choose the closest existing thread shade. For brand colours defined in Pantone or CMYK we always find the closest thread, but the match is never one hundred per cent.

If the exact shade matters to you, ask for a physical sample. We will post you an embroidered piece so you can see the colour in real daylight.

Who supplies the garments

Both ways work.

Garments from us

We have trusted suppliers of workwear, sweatshirts, T-shirts and caps. You choose from the catalogue, we order, embroider and send you the finished pieces. This option is faster and more common.

Your own garments

If you have your own pieces, feel free to send them. But first we need to know the material and the cut – not every item can be embroidered, and some (for example membrane jackets) are damaged by needle holes.

With customer-supplied garments we work on the understanding that we are not liable for any damage to the material, although it happens only rarely. For larger batches we always ask for one piece to test first.

Custom-made goods cannot be returned

An important note we want to make clear upfront.

Embroidery with your logo is goods made to the customer’s specifications and clearly personalised. The right to withdraw from the contract does not apply to such goods – they cannot be returned or exchanged just because you no longer like them after delivery.

That is exactly why we insist on approving a sample or preview before production. What you approve is what we make.

Have another question?

Write to us. We are happy to answer questions even if no order follows.

Tell us what should be embroidered, how many pieces you need, what size you have in mind and when you need it.
Optional. Up to 10 files, 18 MB in total – logo, photos, PDF, Word, Excel, ZIP and so on. For a logo, a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG) is best. We shrink photos automatically before sending.

Fields marked with an asterisk are required. An enquiry is not an order.
